Our Process

The first step is to complete our family application. This application is to give us a brief overview of what you are looking for in your future nanny!
Start Application
After the application is completed, you will set up a time for a consultation with one of our professionals. During this consultation we will get to know your family more. We will also begin to create your family profile that will be provided to prospective nanny candidates.
After our consultation Mom and Nanny will begin to sort, search, and sift through our roster of premier Pittsburgh nannies. We then send your family the top profiles for candidates who will fit your family’s needs.
Next, interviews with your choice nannies will start! We will connect your with your top nanny choices via email to set up interview times. First interviews will be conducted through Ring Central.
Once you have found your perfect nanny, you will send them a job offer! If it is accepted, we will start through the process of creating a family/nanny contract and setting up a start date.
Post-placement, we will be here to answer any questions or concerns. Our main priority is ensuring that we have made a successful and long-lasting placement for both the family and nanny.

At Mom and Nanny we will support you in assuring you have the correct employment and tax documents to hire and employ your household employee. We will help you to exercise all federal and state payroll requirements by utilizing an easy to use home care payroll company such as HomePay by Care.com. Mom and Nanny is a nanny placement agency. We will help to set up your employment relationship with your nanny, as the nannies we will match you with are not employees of our company. Therefore families are required to pay the nanny’s wage and applicable taxes.
